The Lloydminster section of the Society of Petroleum Engineers is looking for a few good presenters with heavy oil topics on hand.
The SPE put out a call for abstracts and biographies on topics pertaining to heavy oil, such as a new innovation, a field research project and/or a pilot project.
The plan is to host technical presentations during the 2016 Lloydminster Heavy Oil Show Sept. 14-15 at the Lloydminster Exhibition Grounds.
The last heavy oil show in 2014 featured 260 exhibitors and welcomed over 6,500 visitors from 11 countries.
The SPE technical presentations will be held in the conference rooms just off the main reception.
Sessions will be 45 minutes in length with a 30 minute talk and a 15 minute question and answer period.
Submissions should be emailed to the SPE Lloydminster section program chair Mike McIntosh at mike.mcintosh@ca.weatherford.com by May 31.
